Haplothrips williamsi
Biologie und Verbreitung
Beschrieben aus Hualālai, Hawaii USA unter Rinde von “Maba”.
Verbreitung: Die Art wurde 1929 auf Hawaii erfaßt und 1934 als H. williamsi beschrieben (1 Holotypus ♀, 7 Paratypen ♀, alle forma macroptera). H. williamsi konnte viele Jahre nicht mehr nachgewiesen werden und galt als endemisch für das Hawaii-Archipel. 2018 wurde einige Individuen der bisher unbekannten brachypteren Form auf dem Palmyra-Atoll gesammelt (Ulitzka unveröffentlicht).
