Most of the extant thrips are from Europe and South America. Several come from various Asian countries, the United States, from New Zealand, Australia and some from southern and eastern parts of Africa. My collection is constantly growing and expanding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><a href=\"mailto:info@thysanoptera.de?subject=Exchange%20of%20thrips%20species\">I am always interested in an exchange of species.&nbsp;Feel free to contact me!<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>All adults&nbsp;of extant species are mounted on&nbsp;microscope slides in Canada balm; larvae are embedded in <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">Hoyer&#8217;s<\/span> mountant. All microscope slides&nbsp;are annotated with information about the species&#8217;&nbsp;locality, the plants they where caught on or with further data.<\/p>\n<p>Fossils (amber inclusions) are conserved for the main part in thin blocks of synthetic resin.
