Described from England (T. denticornis<\/i>), Austria (T. kollari, L. adustus<\/i>), Finland (T. bidens<\/i>), Russia (T. secalina<\/i>) and France (L. incertis<\/i>). Recorded from North America and Australia.<\/p>\n

Living in the leaf sheath of different grasses, including cereals. Crop pest in corn fields. Females exhibit mass flights in summer (thunderbugs<\/a>); males are wingless.<\/p>\n
