Described from Greenland (A. groenlandica<\/i>), Austria (A. intermedius<\/i>), Czech Republic (A. connaticornis<\/i>) and England from grasses (T. rufus<\/i>), Plantago maritima<\/i>? (T. nitidulus<\/i>) and seaweed (U. lubbocki<\/i>).
\nDistribution: Widespread around the world; up to altitudes of more than 3,300m. On various grasses (Poaceae) including cereal crops.<\/p>\n

Specimens from populations near the seaside (sandy heathland and marshland) frequently coloured brown (f. nitidula<\/em>).
