Reported from Hungary, Bulgaria (Ulitzka unpublished), Germany, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia and the Czech Republic (former Moravia). In Germany, <em>P. pillichianus<\/em> has only been recorded at five locations (Ahrschleife nature reserve near Altenahr; Sachsenwald, east of Hamburg; Gravenbruch, south of Frankfurt a. M.; Marburg a.d.
