Biology and distribution
Described from Hong Kong (Victoria Peak) from flowers of Lantana camara (Verbenaceae).
Distribution: Widespread in subtropical regions of China and Taiwan. Also reported from Korea and Japan.
Haplothrips chinensis is breeding in flowers and on leaves of many different plants. Larvae are known as predators on small arthropods.
