Biology and distribution
Described from Finland (P. dentipes) and Sardinia (C. bagnalli).
Distribution: Widespread across Europe south of Norway and Finland; introduced into North America. Breeding at the base of grasses and sedges in damp areas, and feeding on the spores of unidentified fungi on the stems of Carex [Cyperaceae], Juncus [Juncaceae] and Spartina [Poaceae].
