Cephalothrips monilicornis
Biology and distribution
Described from Finland.
Distribution: Widespread across Europe with extensions from Siberia south to Iran and Qatar. Also recorded from China and North America.
Cephalothrips monilicornis is thermophilic and lives in dense grass tussocks. Some Cephalothrips species are fungivorous, but C. monilicornis is feeding on plant tissues.
