Ceratothripoides revelatus
Biology and distribution
Described from Kampala, Uganda, this species has also been reported from Angola, Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, São Tomé, Sierra Leone and Tanzania.
Strictly flower-dwelling it also has been found on various crop plants like Musa (Musaceae), Carica papaya (Caricaceae), Passiflora (Passifloraceae) and Solanum lycopersicum (Solanaceae); damages have been seen on the flowers of Citrus × limon (Rutaceae) and Theobroma cacao (Malvaceae).
