Biology and distribution
Described from Denmark (C. hamatus), former Czechoslovakia (C. dudae) and Finland (C. adusta, C. albicornis, C. aptera, C. aurata, C. testacea).
Distribution: Europe, excluding southern regions, western Siberia, introduced into North America. Particularly found in humid places. Breeding on grasses, especially on Allopecurus pratensis (Poaceae).
