Biology and distribution
Described from Florida USA, seen also from Tennessee USA and Missouri USA; introduced to and widespread in glasshouses in Europe, also recorded from Java and Australia (Mound et al. 2013) and China (Zhu et al. 2013).
Commonly found on Dieffenbachia, Homalonema, Philodendron, Schefflera und Syngonium.
