Hercinothrips brunneus
Biology and distribution
Described from Pietersburg, South Africa on Maesa rufescens (Myrsinaceae).
Distribution: Hercinothrips brunneus is widespread over large parts of Africa and also common on the Canary Islands. In Europe it has been collected from Myoporum laetum (Scrophulariaceae) on the Spanish mainland and on Mallorca (Ulitzka unpublished).
