Biology and distribution

Described from Elbasan, Albania.

Distribution: Turano-European; thermophilic. Melanthrips pallidior is found in the flowers of many different plants, with a preference for Euphorbia cyparissias (Euphorbiaceae), as well as Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, and Fabaceae.
