Myanmarothrips pankowskiorum Ulitzka, 2018: 551.

Biology and distribution

Fossils from Burmese amber (Burmite). During the Cretaceous M. pankowskiorum presumably was widespread and very common. Possibly, it had a mass flight behaviour like extant thunder bugs. Pieces of amber have been recorded containing up to 150 specimens .
