Biology and distribution
Described from Scotland. Locality of T. foliorum not stated.
Distribution: Eurosiberian. Mycterothrips latus is found preferably on leaves of birch trees (Betula), occasionally also on Alnus, Calluna, Corylus, Larix and Sambucus.
