Biology and distribution

Described from former Czechoslovakia (P. dracaenae concolor) and Austria (H. dracaenae).

In Europe in tempered interior only; widespread in tropical and subtropical regions. Polyphagous on the leaves of many different plant species (commonly found on monocotyledons).
