Biology and distribution

Described from the former Czechoslovakia.

Distribution: Widely distributed across Europe; also reported from Siberia.
Thrips dilatatus is found in the flowers of various hemiparasitic Orobanchaceae, such as Euphrasia, Pedicularis, and Rhinanthus.
