Biology and distribution

Described from Aburi, Ghana from Stropanthus gratus flowers (Apocynaceae)(T. pusillus) and Cameroon (T. meliaefloris).
Distribution: In Africa wide-spread and common. T. pusillus is highly polyphagous and it is known to cause damage on flowers of coffee, lemon, maize and other poaceous crops, but also on fruits of banana plants.
