Biology and distribution

Described from Austria, Aflenz (Steiermark) from Knautia (Caprifoliaceae).

Distribution: T. trybomi is widespread over alpine regions up to higher mountain areas. Reported from Austria, Czech Republic, Germany (Ulitzka unpublished), Northern Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia; it also has been recorded in Iran as well as in Eastern and Western Siberia.
T. trybomi is a polyphagous species that is found in flowers of many different plants.
