Tmetothrips subapterus
Biology and distribution
Described from Great Britain (T. subaptera) and Rytro, Galicia, Poland (P. phaeoptera).
Distribution: Widespread, but only locally found in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in parts of Scandinavia; introduced into North America. Tmetothrips subapterus is found in grasslands on leaves of Cerastium, Stellaria [Caryophylaceae] and Galium [Rubiaceae].
Females rarely fully winged, males always micropterous.
