Biology and distribution
Described from England (C. melaleuca), Austria (A. fasciata var. conjunctus and A. adusta), USA, Maryland (A. annectans) and from Manchuria, Ourga Tsitsikhar (A. uzeli).
Distribution: Holarctic.
Aeolothrips fasciatus feeds predatory on small arthropods such as mites and thrips larvae. It is found in flowers and on leaves of various deciduous trees, often on Crataegus, Fraxinus, Ligustrum, Quercus, Sambucus and Sorbus.
