Biology and distribution

Described from former Czechoslovakia.

Distribution: widespread over large areas of Continental Europe to Near East (with only one record only from Scandinavia, Sweden; Ulitzka unpublished)
Rubiothrips sordidus is living and breeding on bedstraw (Galium, Rubiaceae), particularlyon Galium moluggo and G. lucidum.
