Haplothrips verbasci
Biology and distribution
Described from Iowa USA (P. verbasci) and California USA (T. femoralis).
Distribution: Haplothrips verbasci is considered to be native to northern Europe, but is now widely distributed in North America. It has also been recorded from North Africa.
The species lives in flowers, on leaves and stems of mulleins, Verbascum spp. [Scrophulariaceae].
