Anaphothrips atroapterus
Biology and distribution
Described from Hötting near Innsbruck, Austria (A. atroapterus) from flowers and from Simontornya, Hungary from Euphorbia gerardiana (A. crocea).
Distribution: Anaphothrips atroapterus is locally spread and not common. It is reported from France, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, the Republic of Macedonia, Romania, Georgia, Ukraine, and Russia. A. atroapterus is xerothermophilous and occurs in dry habitats where it is found on herbaceous species of Euphorbia, especially E. cyparissias and E. gerardiana.
