Haplothrips haideeae
Biology and distribution
Described from Queensland, Australia (from Mango-blossoms).
Distribution: H. haideeaeis a native Australien species mainly spread in the tropical north of the continent. It has been reported from a range of different flowers, however, repeatedly from Mangifera indica (Anacardiaceae). Ouside Australia this species has been recorded on Zanzibar island (Tanzania) from flowers of Leucaena leucocephala (Mimosaceae) (Ulitzka unpublished).
