Biology and distribution
Described from the Netherlands (H. arnoudi), from Finland (P. apicalis), Germany (P. brunnea) and England (P. flavipes, P. pedicularius, T. britteni, T. propinquus). Recorded from Japan (Okajima, 2006).
Distribution: Palaearctic. Occurs on dead branches and under bark of dead trees like Betula, Populus, Salis, Quercus, Pinus, etc. Associated with the fungus species: Stereum hirsutum, S. rugosum, Trametes versicolor and Polystictus versicolor.
