Biology and distribution

Described from former Czechoslovakia (A. ferruginea), Finland (A. litoralis) and Austria (A. adustus).

Distribution: Widespread over Europe, commonly found in xerothermic habitats; there also in altitudes up to 1700m.
Rubiothrips ferrugineus is living and breeding on various species of Galium (Rubiaceae).
