Biology and distribution

Described from former Czechoslovakia.

Distribution: widespread over large areas of Continental Europe (without Scandinavia) to Near East.
Rubiothrips sordidus is living and breeding on bedstraw (Galium, Rubiaceae), particularlyon Galium moluggo and G. lucidum.
