Biology and distribution
Described from France.
Distribution: Only found locally; reported from Val d’Escrins, Vars (Département Hautes-Alpes), France (Bournier, 1983) and Vallon d’Eyne, Font Romeu (Département Pyrénées-Orientales), France (Bournier, 1983); also recorded from Vosges, France (Ulitzka unpublished) and Allgäu Alps, Germany (Ulitzka unpublished); presumably more widespread.
Thrips gentluteae lives monophagously on the underside of leaves of Gentiana lutea (Gentianaceae).
