Bactrothrips brevitubus
Biologie und Verbreitung
Beschrieben aus Japan (B. brevitubus; G. harukawai) und Zhejiang, China (M. baishanzuensis).
Verbreitung: Weit verbreitet in den immergrünen Wäldern Süd-West-Japans.
Die Art lebt an abgestorbenen Blättern unterschiedlicher Gehölze, wie Castanopsis cuspidata, C. sieboldii (Fagaceae), Quercus glauca, Q. salicina (Fagaceae), Cinnamomum camphora, C. japonicum (Lauraceae), Machilus japonica, M. thunbergii (Lauraceae), Neolitsea sericea (Lauraceae), etc.
Die Tiere ernähren sich von Pilzsporen.
