Karnyothrips melaleucus
Biologie und Verbreitung
Beschrieben aus Florida USA (C. elongatus, H. pini, Z. bicolor), Kuba (H. cocois), Dänemark (H. melaleucus, in einem Gewächshaus) und aus Japan.
Verbreitung: Weit verbreitet in den Tropen und Subtropen. Männchen sind jedoch nur aus Taiwan bekannt. Die Art lebt an Bambus, Gräsern, aber auch an abgestorbenen Blättern und Totholz. Räuber an kleinen Arthropoden, insbesondere an Schildläusen.
