Biologie und Verbreitung
Beschrieben aus Java an jungen Blättern von Ficus benjamina (M. uzeli, P. longitubus) und aus Costa Rica (G. garitacambroneroi).
Verbreitung: Die Art stammt ursprünglich aus Südost Asien, wurde aber vielfach verschleppt. Nachweise liegen aus Nord-Australien und Neukaledonien sowie aus zahlreichen Regionen des amerikanischen Kontinents (einschließlich der Galapagos Inseln) vor. G. uzeli lebt monophag in gerollten Blattgallen an Ficus benjamina (Moraceae). In Europa kommen die Tiere nur in Gewächshäusern vor.
