Rezente Arten
Platythrips tunicatus
Biologie und Verbreitung
Beschrieben aus England (T. tunicata, B. nigricornis), Deutschland von Asperula odorata (T. asperulae), Finnland (P. obscura) und Österreich (P. macroptera).
Verbreitung: Europa, ohne die südlichen Gebiete; in grasigem Gelände und auf Wiesen. Die Art lebt an den Blüten und Blättern diverser Galium-Arten, insbesondere an Galium mollugo (Rubiaceae).
Männliche Individuen sind stets flügellos, weibliche treten selten auch mit voll ausgebildeten Flügeln auf.
