Uzelothrips scabrosus
Biologie und Verbreitung
Beschrieben aus Belem, Para, Brasilien.
Verbreitung: Nachweise liegen vor aus Angola, Singapur und Queensland, Australien; ein Weibchen in der Sammlung des British Museum stammt aus Sulawesi, Indonesien.
Die Art lebt an abgestorbenen Zweigen und ist sehr wahrscheinlich fungivor an Pilzhyphen.
Uzelothrips scabrosus ist die einzige rezente Art in der Familie Uzelothripidae. Eine fossile Art, U. eocenicus, ist aus Bernstein aus Frankreich (Eozän) bekannt.
